Fantastic Transcripts is a woman-owned company with 80 percent of its employees women.

The company is headed by Susan Gellerman, its president and founder. Dan Petitpas is its chief technologist. Jamie Hull is its manager. Jean King is its assistant manager.

The company employs more than 20 full-time and part-time transcriptionists and proofreaders. Our headquarters are in downtown Boston.

Susan Gellerman headed one of Boston's largest transcription companies for more than four years as its manager, supervisor and director before starting her own company. She also has more than 10 years experience in the convention and conference business as a meeting planner and as an audio-visual technician. She is a Communications graduate of Boston University and is married.

Dan Petitpas has worked in media for nearly 30 years and was senior audio-visual and computer technician for Boston's largest AV company for 10 years. In that capacity, he was responsible for the presentation technology involved in some of the largest meetings and conventions in the Northeast. He is a Web designer, an audio engineer and a computer technician. A graduate of Boston Latin School and a Journalism/Mass Communications graduate of Suffolk University, he is also Susan Gellerman's husband.

With 12 in-house Pentium workstations, 100-watt audio amplifiers, TEAC 10-band graphic equalizers, specially modified, full-track Sony transcribers, digital enhancement for hard-to-hear tapes, and around-the-clock work shifts, Fantastic Transcripts specializes in fast, accurate transcripts.

Most jobs are completed in two days, and large projects are usually finished within a week.
